La Favorite 2018 brings Pinot Noir and Chardonnay together in equal measure. From the Grand Cru vineyards of Bouzy, this vintage Champagne combines chalky freshness with elegant depth and a structured, vinous character.

What I particularly enjoy about La Favorite is its precision.
White fruit and green almond meet a distinctly chalky freshness, while delicate biscuit notes add another layer of depth. Pinot Noir provides structure, and Chardonnay brings elegance and lift.
The finish has a subtle, slightly tannic grip that I find especially appealing — a beautiful contrast to softer, more rounded vintage Champagnes.
La Favorite comes from Bouzy in the Montagne de Reims. The vines are around 40 years old and grow in south-facing Grand Cru vineyards on clay and limestone over Campanian chalk. The grapes are picked by hand.
La Favorite comes entirely from the 2018 harvest. Alcoholic fermentation is temperature-controlled; malolactic fermentation is not carried out.
